As a Small Business Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in providing financial guidance, managing relationships, and supporting the growth of small businesses within our community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Engagement: - Interact with small business owners to understand their financing needs, provide personalized financial advice, and recommend suitable products and services. - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and proactive outreach efforts. - Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for small business members, assisting them in navigating financial challenges and opportunities.

2. Financial Analysis: - Assess the financial health and creditworthiness of small businesses by analyzing financial statements, cash flow projections, and other relevant documents. - Identify financing solutions tailored to the unique needs and objectives of each business, ensuring alignment with credit union policies and regulatory requirements.

3. Loan Structuring: - Structure loan transactions that meet the financing requirements of small businesses, considering factors such as cash flow, collateral, and risk mitigation strategies. - Collaborate with underwriters and credit analysts to develop comprehensive loan proposals and present recommendations for approval.

4. Risk Assessment: - Evaluate the risk associated with each loan application, considering factors such as security, management expertise, industry trends, and economic conditions. - Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential credit risks and enhance the overall quality of the loan portfolio.

5. Documentation and Compliance: - Prepare and review loan documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with credit union policies and regulatory guidelines. - Stay informed about changes in lending regulations and industry best practices, ensuring adherence to relevant compliance requirements.

6. Relationship Management: - Cultivate strong relationships with small business clients, providing ongoing support, guidance, and assistance throughout the loan process and beyond. - Act as a liaison between clients and internal stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration to meet client needs effectively

Community Engagement: - Represent Sharons Credit Union in local business networking events, industry associations, and community outreach activities to promote brand awareness and foster strategic partnerships. - Participate in educational workshops and seminars to enhance knowledge of small business trends, market developments, and financial management strategies.


- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in small business lending or financial advisory role.

- Fluent in both English and Korean languages.

- Strong understanding of financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and loan structuring principles.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing credit applications, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. 1. 5. Documentation: - Maintain accurate and detailed records of credit assessments, including decision rationale and supporting documentation. - Prepare and review loan documents to ensure completeness and accuracy, in accordance with credit union standards and regulatory requirements.

6. Credit Coaching: - Provide guidance and support to branch lenders and other stakeholders on credit-related matters, including loan structuring, risk assessment, and compliance requirements. - Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the lending skills and knowledge of staff members.

7. Continuous Improvement: - Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in credit adjudication. - Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Additional Duties:

8. Collaboration: - Collaborate with other departments, including mandatory reporting, underwriting, collections, and legal, to streamline loan processing and resolve credit-related issues. - Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements and address any findings or recommendations.


- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit analysis or retail/small business lending.

- Strong knowledge of credit principles, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.

- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

Sharons Credit Union is seeking a skilled and well organized Member Service Representative. The successful candidate will have professional member service skills, excellent communication skills in both English and Korean, and a passion for assisting business and personal members in achieving our financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processes financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan and utility payments, foreign current exchange and cheque cashing, using banking systems and cash- dispensing machines.

• Recognizes member needs and promotes and cross-sells credit union deposit products and service to members by explaining and referring more complex requests for information and assistance to senior staff.

• Processes account opening, maintenance and other administrative tasks.

• Receives and refers incoming calls and emails to individual staff members and departments.

• Greets visitors, responds to enquiries on basic credit union products and services, identifies additional information needs and directs members to appropriate areas of the branch for further assistance, books appointments.

• Produces routine documents including letters, standard branch documents and basic reports, as per policy and procedures, and operations manuals.


• Bilingual: Fluency in both Korean and English

• Outstanding customer service skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Time management, attention to detail, and good organizational skills

• Ability to use MS-Officer suites
